It's beginning to look alot like
We know you all will have your own special Christmas traditions...at our place we love to get together on Christmas Eve with some tasty Christmas treats and some home made eggnog. The Christmas music plays and we dance around with the tree sparkling in the corner. We read a Christmas story to the kids then off they go to bed excited to see what Santa has left them in the morning.
6 eggs - seperated
3/4 cup white sugar
2 cups of milk
1 cup of cream (not thickened)
1/2 cup of brandy
1/2 cup of dark rum
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt
Beat egg yolks until thick and light in colour adding 1/2 the sugar as you go
Add the milk, brandy/rum, vanilla and salt then refrigerate for at least 2 hours
not too long before you are going to be serving finish the next step by...
beating the egg whites with the remaining sugar until you can make stiff peaks
then in another bowl whip the cream till fairly stiff also.
Take the egg yolk mix and fold into it the other 2 mixes (egg whites and the cream)
Return to the fridge until required.
Ladle into glasses and sprinkle with ground nutmeg
